I am allowed to share a house with a Ragdoll cat named Johann Sebastian where we live very ordinary lives.

I never let people forget that I was born and raised in Norfolk, Nebraska which is also Johnny Carson's home town.  Three and one/half years of my six year army time were spent in Japan playing the piano in an army band.  After the army, I attended college in Norfolk and moved to the Twin Cities in 1977 where I lived in Minneapolis and Newport before moving to St. Paul.

My interests are music (classical, new age, jazz and funky old time rock 'n roll), computers, camping in Minnesota State Parks, gourmet cooking, watching good movies and being a beginner golf duffer.  I am also the world's worst fly fisherman.

I am a member of the Conversi, a lay Cistercian group associated with the monks at New Melleray Abbey and the nuns at Our Lady of the Mississippi Abbey both outside of Dubuque, Iowa. The monks support themselves with Trappist Caskets and the nuns with Trappistine Creamy Carmels.
